Background:

I have been an active educator and musician for over two decades. My diverse interests and skills stem from a deep fascination with creative communication across various disciplines and media. My journey into piano performance began while I was studying Architecture, prompting me to transition into pursuing a degree in Music performance. During my undergraduate years, I showcased my talents extensively as a soloist, chamber musician, and accompanist, participating in concerts, broadcasts, and theater productions throughout South Africa. Alongside collaborating with classical singers, I also undertook advanced vocal training, establishing a robust foundation in vocal technique. My passion for piano performance led me to the UK, where I honed my skills through touring, performing, and engaging in collaborative performance projects. Upon returning to South Africa, I pursued a Master's degree and pivoted towards education. I began lecturing at Wits and eventually discovered my most fulfilling work in the realm of interdisciplinary Arts and performance education. I had the privilege of contributing to institutions such as The Ridge School, St Mary’s Waverley, and Redhill School.
