Background:

I am a professional drummer with 30+ years playing experience and 15+ years teaching experience. I usually teach within a secondary school setting but all ages and abilities are welcome. I'm a jazz musician at heart but earn my crust in a variety of musical settings from covers/function work, jazz gigs, brass band/orchestral and musical theatre. I believe in giving my pupils the tools to become the drummer they would like to be, rather than parroting the same old songs without any thought about how/why the drum part is how it is. I am proud to be a Roland Teacher Ambassador.
